The University of Miami (often referred to as UM) is a nonsectarian, private research university based in the city of Coral Gables, Florida. The university was recipient to over 16,800 students in the year of 2015. In 1925, a group of citizens chartered the University of Miami with a vision of providing unique opportunities and developing inter-American studies and it is quite safe to say that they lived up to their goals and expectations.
